Another sniff, closer this time, sent the boar he was stalking into a startled retreat. Then with a swift stoop, the peryton struck Jack, grabbed him by the belly and thigh, and lifted the boy into the air.

Perytons supplement their largely herbivorous diet with protein from small deer, lambs, and other mid-sized mammals. They have been known to take children when

  1. That CER value is in line for some monsters I need for my current campaign. I might get use out of this.

  2. Excellent! What other sorts of beasts do you like to employ? I'm due to make some new monsters for the bestiary and am always open to suggestions.

  3. Things that I feel like I'm somewhat lacking right now... supernatural monsters that use ranged attacks, in a similar 40~80 CER range.

    1. Hmm...I'll see about putting something together for a future post. I'll have to think on it.
